But please be rest assured if you are an existing client, we will make every effort to see your pet the same day you call to schedule.
We do make every effort to see Avian and Exotic pets that are ill or injured as soon as possible. We are happy to take referrals from other veterinarians.

From admission to discharge, your pet’s care is our number one concern. We treat every pet as if they were one of our own. Anesthesia is tailored to meet each patient’s specific needs. We take every precaution to ensure your pets safety during their procedure. These may include, pre-anesthetic blood work, IV catheter placement, intravenous or subcutaneous fluids, endotracheal intubation, gas anesthesia and anesthetic monitoring including blood pressure. Our Licensed Veterinary Technicians monitor all stages of the patient’s anesthesia and recovery. Our high standard of care continues post operatively as well. We strongly believe in keeping your pet comfortable. While in the hospital, we use injectable pain medication to ensure your pets comfort. We monitor pain levels regularly and adjust medications as needed. Your pet may go home with oral pain medication to continue their comfort at home.
In the event that your pet’s surgical needs are very complex, we are happy to recommend you to a “Board Certified” Surgeon who is trained to handle the special needs of your pet.
Anesthesia

We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures. Our team of well trained licensed technicians take pride in closely monitoring every anesthetized patient from the time they enter our facility until they are discharged back into your care.

Ultrasonography

Our doctors have been specially trained in Ultrasonography techniques. We offer state of the art Ultrasonography equipment right here in our office. For very complex cases, we will refer you to a local “Board Certified” Radiologist/ Ultrasonographer.
Endoscopy
Our state of the art Endoscopy equipment can allow a minimally-invasive approach to certain medical problems that may otherwise require invasive surgery. Our equipment allows us to look inside your pet without the use of scalpel blades. Also, without the use of endoscopy, it can extremely difficult to insert a breathing tube into the airway of certain exotic pets for anesthetic procedures. A clear, open airway is very important during all procedures.
Radiology Services

We offer routine and complex radiographic studies. We prefer to give your pet sedation, if they are healthy, for most radiographs. This decreases the stress your pet may experience and allows better positioning for the film, which may mean less Radiation exposure for your pet and our staff. For complex cases, your doctor will consult with a “Board Certified” Radiologist.

Electrocardiography Services
We have a computerized ECG unit on site in the event that our doctors detect any heart abnormalities in your pet and need further diagnostics. We can send these results to a Board Certified Cardiologist when necessary.
Dentistry

We offer prophylactic dental cleanings for cats, dogs and ferrets. In the event that your pet needs some extra care in their mouth, rest assured that we have fully trained professionals on staff to discuss and provide the necessary services.
We also offer advanced service for domestic and exotic pets from routine maintenance to extractions and oral surgery.

Laboratory
We perform many routine blood tests right in our hospital. We can check your dog for heartworm or common Tick-Borne Diseases, such as Lyme and your cat for deadly, but manageable diseases such as FIV or FeLV. When your pet needs results fast, we have a full blood analyzer that can give us red and white cell counts, kidney, liver, electrolyte and pancreatic function to aid in quick and proper diagnosis. Our staff is trained to be proficient in the use of this equipment and so we are able to generate fast and accurate results.
Microchipping

We are proud to offer the Home Again Microchip to our patients. The chip is about the size of a grain of rice and can be implanted during a routine visit or while your pet stays with us for a procedure. Microchipping is becoming so popular that it has become a very routine way to get your lost pet back home to you safe. Do you know that many pets are euthanized each year because their owner could not find them in time? Ask any of our knowledgeable staff for more information.
Pharmacy

We offer an on site pharmacy for most of your pet's medical needs. This saves you a drive to your local human pharmacy. On occasion, we do need to write a prescription for your pet. Let our reception staff know what pharmacy you use, provide a phone number and they will be happy to call it in ahead of time for you. For those who prefer, we also provide the service of an online pharmacy that coordinates with our office and will send medications directly to you. For exotic pets and those who are very difficult to give a pill to, we often use the service of a compounding pharmacy to create medications that are easy to administer.
